Yes, we frequently ship internationally, and there's nothing special you need to do when placing your order. You are responsible for any customs fees (import tariffs) for your country.

For domestic shipping we use USPS Priority Mail. This typically takes 2-5 days in the 48 states, and slighter longer to Hawaii or Alaska. For international shipping we use USPS Global Priority Mail, which takes about 6-10 days, but varies widely depending on destination country.

We are happy to use other shipping methods, such as UPS or Fedex, at the customer's expense. Just contact us.

As a relatively small company, we don't usually manufacture complete floors. Our electronics solutions make the mechanical work of constructing your floor fairly straightforward. However, if you are interested in a complete solution, don't hesitate to talk to us about consulting.

Surface mount soldering is very, very difficult, especially if you don't have extensive soldering experience. However, with the right equipment and technique it can be faster than through-hole soldering. Get a good soldering iron (we recommend the Weller WESD51), the smallest tip you can find, the smallest solder you can find, and lots of flux and solder wick. You'll also probably want a good pair of tweezers. Practice on big stuff, like 1206 passives, then move down to 0603 and 0402 passives and eventually 20mil pitch packages like QSOPs and MSOPs.

As for toaster-oven soldering with paste, we found we couldn't achieve reliable results this way (with 200 parts per board) and the amount of labor required to touch up the QSOPs made it easier and more effective to just do it by hand.
